Permits

The following permits can be obtained in the Clerk’s Office:

• Curb Cut;
• Block Party;
• Posting Temporary Signs on personal property (for garage sales, lost pets, tag sales, etc.);
• Commuter Parking (Union Ave Parking Garage –  Village residents $65);
• Street Openings (for LIPA, plumbing work etc.);

Annual Taxes

Tax bills are mailed at the end of May, and may be paid beginning June 1 every year.  

Annual Taxes Due Jun 1 – Jul 1.On all such taxes remaining unpaid after July 1, interest of five per centum shall be added for the month of July and an additional one per centum for each month and fraction thereof thereafter until paid. The oldest tax liens must be paid first.  Therefore, if there are tax liens on your property, you may not pay the most current first.
